A Valentine of an opening
Gary Parker (right), former Community Board 5 district manager and current New York University director of government and community affairs, joins partner Kevin Schneider at the opening of Schneider’s exhibition “Recent Paintings” at the Atlantic Gallery on W. 29th St. on Tuesday. Parker is well known throughout the community for his activism and advocacy of gay rights, and as a former community liaison for Assemblymember Deborah Glick, before taking over the post at NYU late last summer. Schneider’s collection of portraiture, landscape, still life and trompe l’oeil paintings will stay on display for the remainder of the month at the Chelsea gallery.
