Whos coming to court Hudson Yards?
Related Corporation: Recently purchased the Manhattan Plaza complex, has won several no-bid contracts with the city; known also for CEO Steve Ross longtime friendship with Deputy Mayor Daniel Doctoroff. Chelsea Nows query about the Yards was referred to Senior Press Secretary Joanne Ross, who then only said Were not commenting on this.
Tishman/Speyer: The only rumored bidder without current projects in the area, most recently famous for its historic purchase of Stuyvesant Town. Would not confirm even the existence of its bid, according to publicist Rowanne Kulakoff of Kekst and Company, but was widely reported Tuesday to have secured Morgan Stanley as an anchor tenant for one of the Hudson Yards towers.
The Durst Organization and Vornado: Reported to have joined forces and to have signed a contract with the media giant Condé Nast for its own office tower. Vornado has already won the contract for the new Moynihan Station nearby.
Extell Corporation: Already building more than 2 million square feet of office and hotel space in the area, including its high-tech World Product Center on 34th Street.
Bloomfield Properties: Also has numerous Clinton projects, including 1.5 million square feet in four office towers on Ninth Avenue.
