Members of Chelsea Neighbors United to End the War offer a constant reminder of the Iraq Wars toll on the country.
Second anniversary anything but a celebration
It was a bittersweet anniversary on Tuesday as Chelsea Neighbors United to End the War marked the second year of its Tuesday night Stand-Up.
What occured to me is that its a signpost, organizer Chuck Zlatkin said, a milepost along the way. But secondary to the Stand-up is being out here in the streets, letting people know that we believe the war must end immediately and the troops return here safely.
That is the only answer, Zlatkin said before returning to his group and handing out fliers. As of Tuesday night, 3,380 U.S. soldiers had died in Iraq.
