Architect Maya Lin, known for her designs of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C., and the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery, Ala., gave the keynote address last Friday at the Asian Educators Alliance New York national conference, which drew nearly 100 K–12 educators from more than 50 private schools over the weekend at the Little Red Schoolhouse & Elizabeth Irwin High School (LREI), in the West Village. During her talk, Lin showed a PowerPoint presentation of many of her projects, including her renovation of the Museum of Chinese in America (MoCA), in Chinatown, due to open in 2008.
