For the past few years, labor unions have protested work conditions by placing a huge inflatable rat in front of disputed job sites. Last Tuesday, a new scenario played out on West 31st St. between Sixth and Seventh Aves., where Local 79 protested the practices of a restoration company by placing two inflatable icons a cat in superhero attire holding a mouse and a Daddy Warbucks pig in front of an office building.
