Identity House losing space as 14th St. rents skyrocket

Gina Nagy, 39, of Weehawken, N.J., takes in the “Transfigurations” photography exhibit at Identity House on Friday night. The exhibit, which looks at the lives of transgendered people and runs through the end of March, is part of an effort by the 35-year-old LGBT organization to raise money as it seeks a new space due to skyrocketing rents. Formed in the wake of the Stonewall riots, Identity House provides counseling services, therapy referrals and other services to the LGBT community, and houses an art gallery space that mounts monthly shows. Those wishing to help relocate the organization can call Lee Zevy at 212-691-5649.
