The Snow Must Go On!

Jan28_SnowEven covered in snow, legendary playwright, composer, lyricist, actor, singer, dancer and producer George M. Cohan stood tall in Times Square, giving his regards to Broadway.

Theatrical press agent and longtime Hell’s Kitchen resident Richard Hillman took this photo on Sat., Jan. 23, after venturing down W. 46th St. “to see what the situation at ‘Hamilton’ was like. Although the cancellation line stretched past the Marriott Marquis, I joined the chilly crowd.”

Soon after, The Broadway League determined there was too much white stuff on the ground for the Great White Way to go on with the show. “Those poor folks,” said Hillman of the “Hamilton” hopefuls, “some of whom had been there since 5 a.m. I stepped out of line and walked into Times Square to get a few shots.”

Having provided Chelsea Now with a front page photo, Hillman made his way back home. “I am now sitting in front of a lovely fire,” his email read, “drinking red wine. And one for Mahler!”
